1.   Tell us about the current project readers can expect at the Baltimore Urban Book Festival?
To me, every book that hasn't been read yet is current. So, I have the Trifling Times of Nathan Jones, the whole Nan series, Once Upon a Time in Harlem and The Barack in Me, which are all current for somebody out there. However, I'll be helping promote Ebony Chronicles of Elevation, which is an anthology I had the opportunity to be a part of recently.

2. When interacting with your readers, what are questions you hope they may ask you?  It's just an honor for them to even care about me or my books, so I'm open to answer whatever is on their mind. I just want to know what they're thinking, so pretty much anything is on the table. It's always interesting to hear people's perspective on characters or different scenes from a book. A lot of times they'll be looking for my insight, but in the same respect, I'm just as interested in hearing their thoughts as well. That's one way of knowing if I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish with my writing.

3. Within the past year what have you enjoyed about being an author? The Love Literature Tour was a blast. I got an opportunity to form bonds and cement friendships with great individuals like Brian W. Smith and Rickey Teems II, as well as connect with some incredible book club members and readers. Other than that, I would have to say just reaching back and doing youth related activities, mostly related to The Barack in Me.

4. During the festival what are you hoping to experience? I'm just looking to connect with readers. That's all I really look to do at book events.

5. What is your next project readers will see from you that will release after this year’s event? My next project is untitled, but I'm enjoying the writing process and hope the readers will as well.

Synopsis:
For some sins, even repentance and heartfelt prayer won't guarantee forgiveness. And for some coldhearted sinners, there is no desire to be forgiven for their misdeeds at all. Jada Dupri had survived many trifling times in her life, which would have easily consumed weaker individuals with a lot less resolve. However, for some reason she was still living—at least for the moment.  From murder to mayhem, her young eyes had been exposed to many things.  But, little does she know, death is looming ever so closely, with no plans of sparing her life ever again.
Nathan “Nan" Jones has finally been reunited with his family, but sanctity and salvation will be short lived. His weakness has always been his willingness to jeopardize himself for the sake of others. So, when a friend calls upon him in a desperate plea for help, he will be forced to return to the battlegrounds of Brooklyn to face his nemesis one final time.
For every ending there must be a beginning. And for every beginning there will most assuredly be an end…Old enemies will reemerge, friends will be betrayed and many more lives will be lost.
